Recycled Floorboards
All of our floorboards are de-nailed and docked with
square ends, tounge and grooves cleaned and we check
all our recycled floorboards before we send them out
for installation. Most other companies only have the
nails ground off and do not thoroughly clean the tounge
and grooves, this creates problems for the sander and
becomes a major problem for the installer as it creates
gaps between the boards. These points should be considered
when buying recycled floorboards, and why your first
and only stop should be Classique Floorboards.
Jarrah
In the temperate forest of Western Australia grows one of the most beautiful hardwoods in the world. Jarrah creates fashion statements in style and elegance and is unique to Western Australia . The wood is renowned for its strength, toughness and durability. It will last for many years to come.
Jarrah is amongst the world's hardest timbers and is highly resistant to dampness, rot, fire, termites, marine bores and most acids. The wood of a jarrah tree varies in colour from rich reddish brown to a soft salmon pink colour depending on the age of the wood.
Each of these qualities makes jarrah an ideal choice for timber flooring.
